Located in Turin, Italy, This new new take-away modern minimalist sushi restaurant is designed by Italian design studio UAU. The restaurant, previously a stationary shop, was designed for the sushi brand Sosushi. UAU had to make the most of the small 45m² footprint of the building. The shop is finished with Plexwood with matte white and magenta furniture. UAU has maximised the small space by trying to give each intersection of materials a use - shelves, benches and cubbies. They have also paid particular attention to the lighting, in part to highlight the food and drink on offer. Made of clean cut shapes emphasized by matte white finish and furniture details colored magenta, the space, though overworked, is an harmonious composition balanced through the use of Plexwood.
